There were several iterations before the final truss design was selected. The pitch in the interior accommodates the high center doors and ceiling height for a lift without the side walls being crazy high. To make things interesting, the garage is located in a high snowfall area of central NY (Tug Hill). And...I'm from the school that no matter where a post is placed, it will be in the way!

Some of you guys have incredible garages / shops. Maybe someday I'll have something like that. My small two-car garage has doors too small to accommodate my truck, and is only 20' long anyway. I use it for a small workshop area on one side and the other side holds my motorcycle, snowblower, lawn mower, etc.
Thanks for sharing these dream garages, though!

Fantastic shop setups guys!
My 2 car only has room for my wife's small SUV. The other side is stuffed with motorcycles, quad, wood working and welding equipment. Wood splitter and most of yard maintenance has been vanquished to the car port.
The attic is stuffed full of supplies and parts, etc. My boys refer to it as the Family Home Depot.
My wife is bent on building a huge Monitor Barn. You would think I would seize that opportunity immediately but wow, the project list is so long already.
I am too embarrassed to post a pic of my shop/garage. What a mess. Anytime I want to do a project I have to unpack it carefully like a Jenga game.

Very nice T.
You are flying my colours (orange).
I take note of your speakers. I too like having great music to listen to while working on projects. Mine are an old pair of self powered JBL concert speakers. I can shake the plaster off the walls with them.

Looking at getting an RC8 here pretty soon to replace that GSXR... And music! Have to be rocking out while working away! The other side of this 3 car garage is packed with all my woodworking and welding stuff too (garages aren't for cars, pfft), always seem to have a project going on. Finishing them on the other hand...
