I must say that I was a little worried when they redid the F-Series but I must say OH BABY I am in love now all I need to do is convince my wife that I need one after buying my ranger. If anybody knows how to do this I might kiss you...or not.

I looked and drove several of the new '04 F150's yesterday. I thought they were Great! I think Ford has a winner. New rack and pinion steering has much better road feel. Truck "looks" tougher and better! Interior looks/works better.

Only drawback is price. They are expensive and no rebate yet. I decided to order a F-350 SRW instead. But, I tow a heavy trailer. If I didn't need it to tow, I would have bought the F-150.

 

i love the new 04's i looked at a larait screw yesterday and i actually i had split second of thinking about braking my lease on my 03 and getting one but then again i love my 03

 

it's amazing there is such a wide range of opinions. I guess it's like the old saying about averybody having one.

I took delivery on my new '04 STX Saturday morning and I love it. I must have got one with good fenders. Everything seem to be put together well.

The only thing I wish was that the 5.4 was available in the STX.

 

I only have one complaint with my new FX4 super crew. When I get home from work the wife takes it (and she didnt like trucks) the kids want to ride in the truck now not the van

 

The new '04 comes in 3 bed lengths (supercrew, 6.5, and 8). All three lengths can be had with the super cab, but why didn't ford offer the 6.5 ft bed on the super crew? That's what I want, a real truck with a real bed (6.5 ft +). Now GM is doing the same thing: No more 1500 HD crew cab 6.5 ft beds, now it's just a 1500 crew cab with a 5.5 ft bed. What's up with that? I just want a 6 passenger truck with a full 6.5 ft bed. Guess I'll have to get a super duty.

The word is your dream truck will become available around Christmas. I'm waiting for a 6.5' bed screw also. Maybe.

 

I've just put in an order for a 04 f150 supercab but would much prefer the supercrew with a 6.5' bed if it was available in the F150. Any way it can be confirmed if ford is coming out with the f150 supercrew with the full size bed?
