Where will I find the VIN (You posted this in another thread and now I can't find it.)
Where will I find the warranty plate info? My dash box has been removed and the sticker on the door just has service information (motor oil weight, gear oil weight, etc.)
Tell me (again) where to go and I'll go get it. Thanks!...j
The warranty plate is a metal plate fastened to the door. It is supposed to be on the driver's door, underneath the door latch, where it mates to the door jamb. It might be found also in the glove box as you mentioned, or on the side of the radiator support bracket (the bracket welded to the core support, to which the radiator bolts.)
My '66 has it on the door, but it isn't original because the door has been replaced. The VIN is also stamped on a tag, which is screwed to the firewall above the master cylinder.
You can also find the VIN stamped on the frame on the passenger side, about where the motor mount is. That one is usually hard to find.
Unfortunately, only the VIN is usually stamped in these other places; the warranty plate info is not usually anywhere else.
