Is it possible? I understand there manual is weak since it covers so many different vehicles but it's surprising there aren't instructions for individual models online or.something

 

you would better to ask a mechanic to give you recommend,perform DGR off need special ECU device to do it.

 

IMHO, there is no reason (performance, maintenance or mpg) to do this......

 

What he said. What are you trying to accomplish? What motor, gas or diesel? There is more than one thread here with people who have fiddled with stuff like this who can't get their engines to run right afterwards.

 

for some reason I just read your and beechkids replies to my question.

I have a 6.0 diesel, I was planning on turning off the egr for better performance and better fuel mileage.

I didnt realize others had problems after deleting their EGR.

 

I had a 2008 F350 6.4 and had the LIvewire TS+ tuner with delete on my truck for 52,000 miles, I had great performance and mileage while using it, however when I reinstalled the particulate filter and returned my tune back to stock only to get a P0404 EGR code, I went to pull the EGR and it would not move. I had to take the whole throttle body assembly off, the EGR was completely clogged with carbon. It took my about 5 hrs. to get the thing clean.

My suggestion would be to do the EGR delete to save yourself the same problem.
