I am working on it!! The motorhome actually gets about the same MPG as the Hummer. Diesel is more expensive but what we will save in hotel cost I think it will average out in the long run.

I was finally able to get a hold of the campground in Panama City, they do offer a 20% discount to military. BUT they have a 10 year rule for motorhomes. Since it is an American Tradition they said I had to send in pictures of the outside and they would let me know if we could stay there. They did reserve me a spot but won't take my deposit till they see the pictures. In a way that's good but also aggravating at the same time.

a lot of places do that. I heard stories of campgrounds that do that and people show and the place is a dump. I understand why, but age does not determine how something looks it how it maintained. There is alot of crap that should not be on the road. If it is not a new campgroun did you ask them to send you current pics to see whast they look like I think it only fair

Anytime you se resort vs campground you are talking high end. Make sure the dont charge a resort fee plus the nightly rate. Whast about Famcamp at Tyndal AFB?

We looked into the Famcamp but a a buddy from work is thinking of going down with his 5th wheel at the same time so that ruled it out. Plus I figured we could splurge a little since it would only be 2 nights.

I am still waiting to hear back from them, this is getting crazy. If I don't hear from them by 5 pm I am looking for somewhere else.

Just as I hit post they called and we are in! One less thing to worry about!! Trying to knock a few things out around the house before the rain comes, probibly about an hour or two away.

Their website did not mentiona towable section only a class A and park model. They are very high end. I f you had a bluebird, Prevost, Newell. You would fit in.

Well it was not a totally wasted weekend. A drive belt pulley was loose on the riding mower and I got that fixed. I got the old wheel horse lawnmower moved into the basement and out of the weather. Cleaned the pool really good and added the opening up chemicals. I measured the mattress in the motorhome and it turned out to be a regular queen. We put in a Serta Perfect sleeper mattress in place of the original mattress and it made a HUGE difference. I changed out the seals on the motorhome toilet so it should hold water now and no more smell from the tank. We went out for hot wings for dinner last night at our favorite wing place. Picked up a nail in the Toyota tire so I got that fixed today. We ordered a toddler bed for little man since he can crawl out of his crib anyway. He is really starting to pick up words now and his talking is really coming around quick.

They called back and said OK and took my deposit money. Now if it would quit raining on the weekends so I can mount the tow plate and run the light kit that would be great. I need to order my brake system so I have everything and mount them when the weather is nice.

what about your budy with the 5th wheel? You ever figure out which brake system? The SMI systems look good do not use the box on the floor, but are about $1k

may look at this one also
