Rich, it was nice to see you yesterday, even for a short visit. I'm glad to hear that Penny is doing better.
Well fellers, both of the two houses we looked at in Richmond, were a no go. And the one in garden City, isn't even an option. It looked good in pictures, and we'll leave it at that.
Shari and I have officially made an offer on the house that we looked at last weekend in Lexington, Mo. They have until tomorrow evening to say yes or no.
Unk Bob

Evening all. We got home around 1:00 pm today and I've been running around taking care of things I didn't want to mess with in the rain last week. One of those tasks was checking the torque on the lug nuts on the big truck. I went ahead and double-checked the air pressure since I had to have the wheel covers off anyway. I came very close to launching them into the next county before I finally got the last one back on. They do look nice, but I certainly can see why custom wheels are popular on the duallies.
Mom's making dinner tonight which is good because we're too tired to cook and I'm already tired of eating out.

Discussed in this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ding-help.html
The odd thing is I had a fouled plug but the cylinder look really good. I used a borescope to take this video.

I haven't done a wet compression test and I've never done a leak down test. I had to google that. (I'm not experienced in this stuff.)
The engine was rebuilt in the late 60's and has about 30,000 miles on it. At least that is what my wife's grandpa told me.
If it was a ring issue, wouldn't I see smoke out the exhaust?
Rich, I just ordered some. They were $7. Cheap for the headaches they will prevent.
Bob, good luck with the offer. In our last house search, we put offers on 3 or 4 houses before we got ours. I'm glad we didn't get the others.

Howdy all, got my not a carpenter rail and gate project finished, finished fencing roughly an acre for the dogs and changed the right side ball joints and tie rod ends on the Durango. Oops, I can't post the rail picture, my phone must be out of date.

Productive weekend Chip!
I ran across this video and thought you might enjoy it.
He takes slow motion video of an engine running so you can see the entire combustion process.
He uses gas, alcohol, and acetylene.
Tequila and Propane:
It looks like he has a couple more as well.
Enjoy.

Evening All!
It was a rough weekend doin' the monster truck thing. Went to St. Louis and sat in on a Monster Jam show, then helped Jimmy Creten (Bounty Hunter) get his engine back together for Sunday's show. Long story short, I got to do awesome stuff, but didn't get any sleep. ....unless you count sleeping on the machine shop floor waiting for a cylinder head to get welded up and machined flat again.

Morning all, did you guys down south get hit hard last night?
I was laying in bed and was surprised with thunder up here. Then the weather showed the radar. Looks like Springfield area was gonna get hit with more wet stuff.

Howdy all. Joe, I'll have to watch them videos tomorrow. Let's see if my pictures work now. The split in the gate is so it can be split in the middle and allow a wider opening with less overhung load than a single gate.
