Good evening Illinois visitors, Jim, Ken, Pat, John, and Sean!

Was another cold one today but the sun was shining brightly. If it weren't so windy maybe it would have felt better.

10 days till Spring, and I saw a few more robins today.

With what we see on the news its like a hurricane went though. You have your nor'easters and we have tornadoes. Guess that makes us even. LOL

Yeah it does.. The problem wasn't the wind this time though..
It rained early and got everything good and wet.. Then it changed to white crap and back to rain..

It made the trees a white crap magnet.. They couldn't handle the load and started snapping all over the place

We had something like that a couple of years ago but we had a lot of rain before the ice and white crap. The ground was saturated causing the trees to fall over

Good thing! You have a older home and the trees would have been huge.

Yeah There were 2 huge pine trees in the back yard when we moved in.. I had them cut down after a few years cause the branches kept breaking

I still have a pine tree that is in the neighbors yard on the property line that could hit my house if it goes over..

I have a huge oak tree in the back yard that would smash the porch if it fell on it.

They are nice and give shade in the summer, but are dangerous to have come winter...LOL

Patty thought we should have it removed last Fall.

I told her that it would cost a fortune to have removed.

As long as it stays healthy it'll stay.

Yeah they are not cheap to remove.. Especially if they can't get there equipment in there to remove it easy
