So I changed out my ICP yesterday. After putting it all back together my truck won't start, won't crank over. Nothing.
- has no dash lights
- no dash gauges work
-getting no power to the OBD
-both batteries tested at 12.75
-fuseable links all tested good
- alternator passed diode test
-all fuses and relays checked and looked good
The only thing that is working is my dome light, my tail lights and the door chime when I have the key in the ignition and door open. License plate lights are super dim. Radio is also cycling like it's getting turned on but I'm not turning it on. I don't know what the hell happened but any suggestions would be much appreciated.
check your battery grounds, all 4 of them, check engine fuse box for solid B+ connections (not loose)
You can turn on the headlights then test voltage at the battery, also note any current draw using a VOM on drivers batt. B+ in series with everything off and passenger battery ground disconnected.
Put the batteries on a charger afterwards.
hang in there, you'll find it. Sounds unrelated to your work.
Would having no power to the headlights make a difference? They won't turn on either. Not with the automatic switch or manual switch
VOM in series, take a current reading, then switch headlights to compare any draw.
draw attention between drivers B+ and J box. Jump it if you must.
Get your service manual to begin troubleshooting. Block diagram.

So I have it narrowed down to the passenger side. I had someone come out yesterday and he tested everything under the hood with a "power probe" (that's what he called it). According to him it's a ground somewhere but I don't know where to even begin to look and find out what wire. Still no dash lights, still no headlights, still no crank or turnover at all.
