Hey guys and girls, i`m not sure if any of you know this but I wanted to pass this info along to those who may not know.
It looks like the latest iOS update, which is 11.2.6, fixed the Ford Pass app disappearing and just not functioning properly because of the 11.2.5 update.
With the exception of the iHeartAuto, which has been removed, all of the other apps in the AppLink App catalog are working just fine in the car.
Funny thing is that iHeartAuto is still in the AppLink catalog on the Ford owner website but on the actual Ford App Catalog app, iHeartAuto is no longer listed. Perhaps it falls into the same line as Spotify which was also removed during the last iOS update.
Also, i`m not sure if this applies to everyone but I was having a few problems with the apps not working properly so this is what I did.
I ran a Master Reset on the SYNC system and I also removed/deleted the FordPass app from my iOS device and then I reinstalled it.
Afterwards, everything seems to be working much better plus for the first time ever, i`m able to pull up more vehicle info from the Ford Pass app onto the actual SYNC screen in my truck. Fuel, dealer, truck health info, vehicle messages, etc, etc.
I to (Android owner) also have problems getting the truck to update the Ford Pass ap on my phone. Is the status of the truck data supposed to be downloaded to the phone automatically or do you have to run something on sync ?
I believe it just like Sirius, you get a free trial. I have it on my 2016 Escape (wifes car), 2017 Fiesta (granddaughters car) and it will be on the new 2018 truck. I intend to look into it more. If it helps me keep up with their oil changes and such I will probably keep it. Right now I just do them on time and have reminders in my phone, every 5 months.

I'll have to look at it but I keep oil changes and other maintenance things like that on my iPhone Calendars app.
My Ford Pass has been working on my iPhone 7 Plus since I got my truck 6 months ago.
It might have been working on your phone but if you updated to iOS 11.2.5, FordPass would not work inside of the vehicle via SYNC 3. I`m not sure if this affected 2018 owners but it did affect others.
FordPass has been down in many F150 owners vehicles who use an iPhone and who also updated to iOS 11.2.5 a few weeks ago. That update killed FordPass and any and all apps that worked through the SYNC 3 system.
Since the 11.2.6 iOS update came out and if people have updated to it, all of the Ford Pass features plus the apps are now working again inside of the vehicle as they should.

The truck has nothing to do with the FordPass app being updated on your phone. That`s up to Android and Ford whenever they send out an update.
There was a recent FordPass iOS update and again, I updated it via my phone and it had nothing to do with the truck.

My question was do you have to do something in Sync to get it to update ? Because it seems to only update when I access the Sync FordPass app. Then it only downloads to the Ford Pass app on the phone the current fuel level. I notice on the phone app there is an odometer reading, mine always says "0".

I've got an iPhone 7 Plus that is currently at iOS 11.2.6 revision. shortly after the iPhone updated the Ford Pass also updated. I may not fully understand something here but my Ford Pass has always worked inside or outside of my truck. What am I missing here? Could this be a regional thing?

The update before 11.2.6, which was 11.2.5, actually disabled Ford Pass and all of it`s compatible apps from working inside of the vehicle on the SYNC screen. The apps still would work on the phone though.
If you "never" did the 11.2.5 update but you did do the most recent update which you stated is 11.2.6 and that`s what you have on your iPhone 7, then you would not have noticed any problems with Ford Pass working on the SYNC screen in your vehicle.
I don`t think it "was" a regional thing because many people posted about the same problems in various places online and it was also confirmed by Ford and Apple.
Again, the people that had this problem with Ford Pass not working "inside" of their vehicle and on the actual SYNC screen updated to 11.2.5.
Thankfully, this problem has been solved since 11.2.6 was released and people have done the update.
