Factory wheel interchange

Curious... will the factory 5-lug rims from 1990's F150's and full size Broncos fit 1970's F100/F150's? I am helping my nephew get a F100 dentside, and it currently has dog-dish hub-caps on it. Not so cool for a teenager... so thought maybe a set of those factory 1990's wheels would dress things up a bit.

Anyone have pics of their dentside with newer style factory rims?

Same as 1969/74 E200 & E100/150 from 1975 thru 2014.

F150's went to metric wheels in 1997, but no E100/350 (Econoline) of any year has metric wheels.

Yes, the factory bullet hole alcoas are a nice cheap upgrade though not as common as they once were. Here's some that were on my dent now on the wife's bump.

They should fit yours fine, being a 150 4x4, but -

Wasn't there a certain run of F100's that had the smaller, car pattern hubs? Seems like I remember reading or seeing something about that?

Just as a double check, I can take the spare from my 150 and make sure it fits the 100 once it arrives. I've seen some Ford OEM wheels on ebay that I like, but I'll be shopping around to compare prices for a few months before making the buy.

Those wheels certainly do dress up your trucks!

Styled steel and aluminum wheels were introduced in 1977 for F100/150 & E100/150, Bronco got 'em in 1978.

The hubcaps (Ford called them ornaments) attach to the wheels with 3 screws and anchors. The holes for the screws/anchors are within the bolt circle pattern.

Styled Steels were wagon-style rims in '77?

There's no pics of the styled wheels in the 1973/79 catalog, but...

TYPES 5 - 8 - 9 shown in the 1980/89 catalog were also used 1977/79.

Wagon wheel is TYPE #5

Fixed it for you.

Actor Ricardo Montalban pitched that leather in a Dodge Magnum commercial many moons ago.

Wasn't it the Chrysler? Ricardo was a man of refinement...

God helped sell a lot of Plymouths. There's probably no better endorsement than "God drove Adam and Eve from the garden in his Fury!"

Then there was Don Knotts hawking the Dodge Dude...
