There are way too many categories jumbled into 2017-18 Superdutys. It could be a more useful and enjoyable forum with a little organization.
What does everyone think?
For Example:
General Discussion: All the questions like, lets see your wheels, do my brights work, what wax do you use, how often do you clean your truck, lets see your different wheels, what color is your truck, what color is my truck, etc.
Tech Discussion: Threads on mods, how tos, oil change tips, specific back spacing tech.
Buying a new truck?/Just got my new truck: New members can post up, photos of new trucks, questions about when delivery happens, how delivery happens, why delivery happens, why each of the previous hasn't happened, or where is the best deal on a warranty, etc.
Scanning/Programming/Electrical: Forscan, other programmers as the come, dedicated electrical issues.
Just a thought.
Also, the old sticky about the 2017 is on its way, Ford engineers read this...it is past its usefulness. I don't think a Ford engineer has looked at it since 2016.
While it might not be a bad idea, I don't believe that's in the job description of moderators.
In my past experience moderating another forum, it was more of a "policing" job to make sure that topics or responses didn't get out of hand.
I'd guess that it's more of an administrator or site owner decision, but maybe they would take the moderators' opinions into consideration.
FTE as a whole already has such organization. There are separate audio forums. Separate 6.7 and 6.2 forums. Etc. The 2017-18 section is meant to be a general forum for things that don't fall into specific sub categories. However, since no one uses the other existing subforums of FTE, it turns into the catchall we have here....

Not true at all. The 2 other forums I mod we move threads to the appropriate forum. When someone comes on a forum to look for a particular topic, it is nice having different sections so you don't have to scroll through dozens of pages.
Interio, Exterior, wheels/lifts/suspension, performance and general 6.7 would be fantastic to have separated.
I mod from my phone and shift things around as needed very easily. The forum is so active that it is a complete disaster for organization. So many things one doesn't care to scroll through just to find a topic now on page 4 from 2 hours ago.

You miss my point. Which was that in many forums moderators don't have the juice to make wholesale changes such as adding new features, sections or reorganizing the forum in general. Moving a thread to the appropriate area of a forum is not actually creating the new section. Which is what the OP is suggesting.
That's usually left up to administrators/owners.
As previously stated, I have worn the moderator hat. I'm aware of what they do on other forums.
The forum, to me, seems to be well segmented now. Unless the rules change and require everyone to review every topic, my POV is it's a non-issue for the way this forum is organized. I just bypass the stuff I have no interest in. Besides, once you start drilling-down topics, it can become a significant housekeeping chore for moderators to redirect content into the right slot. In other words, if it pertains to 2017 and up SDs, then it belongs in this section whether it's about model options, tires, DEF, or death wobble.
