Yes... NumbersDummy is very helpful. But, I finally got the carb off of it and the numbers are E4TE 9A589 - GB. Thats exactly how the numbers look on the part. If I can get this fitting off before I break it, I will probably need another one. I've tried penetrating oil, Blast it and now its sitting in metal rescue, hoping that getting rid of some of the rust will make it easier to take off.

I have the 1984 Ford Truck Parts Catalog (Text Version), as well as the 1984 Ford Trucks Parts Catalog (Illustrations Version). The part number above, ( E4TE) 9A589 is not even listed, for any year (1980-1984) or any model? What gives?

Thanks for your help.

What gives?
No Master Cross Reference Catalog, no clue. You need a catalog like this to cross the ID engineering number over to the part number.
No part numbers marked on parts after 1956, just casting or ID engineering numbers, when applicable.

(sigh) Geez Louise! Doncha think I know what the hell I'm doing, since I've been looking this crap up for over 45 years?!

Open your peepers, I gave you the part number, applications and sources in post #2.

I know you know what your doing... and your help is appreciated. I was asking why would there be a part number on the spacer, that is not in the book? Trying to figure out how to read these manuals.

Thank you.

The thing is: It's NOT the part number! It's the ID engineering number marked on the spacer.

See post #6.

Dave, I'm going to go and get drunk. Some members of this forum are even more dazed and confused than Chris is!

I gave the OP the info in post #6, but he persists (in post #7) calling the ID engineering number the part number.

He's your friend too!!!

The OP is probably wondering what the hell we're talking about.

He wasn't in Skiatook and wasn't sittin' in the passenger seat of our rented 2017 F150 when Chris hit the brakes the first coupla times.

If it wasn't for the seat belt, I woulda become a hood ornament! I told Chris when we stopped: I'M driving from now on!

OP lives in "laid back" CA where the residents forgive and forget...

Well, most of them do, that is.

Very funny... Jerry Sienfeld and George Castanza...

Any idea what the numbers are for a Tubing (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve to Exhaust Manifold) are and where I can get one? I got E0TZ 9D477 B from the book. Dennis Carpenter has one, but for some reason, it doesn't exactly look like mine?

Thanks...

I got E0TZ 9D477 B = (1980/83) from the book. Dennis Carpenter has one, but for some reason, it doesn't exactly look like mine? (because, it's the wrong tube).
1984/86 is different than 1980/83.

E4TZ-9D477-A .. Tube - EGR Valve to Exhaust Manifold / Obsolete

1984/86 F150/350, Bronco & E150/250 300 I-6.

NOS PARTS SOURCE in Olathe KS has 1 = 913-220-5746.

FORD PARTS ONLY in Bayamon Puerto Rico has 1 = 787-786-9180.
