I'm looking for a Spacer - carburetor to intake manifold. 1984 Ford F150, 4.9L 300 I6, Carter 1 barrel, Vin Y. Part number should be E4TZ 9A589 D or Motorcraft CM-2417 C.
Yes... NumbersDummy is very helpful. But, I finally got the carb off of it and the numbers are E4TE 9A589 - GB. Thats exactly how the numbers look on the part. If I can get this fitting off before I break it, I will probably need another one. I've tried penetrating oil, Blast it and now its sitting in metal rescue, hoping that getting rid of some of the rust will make it easier to take off.
I have the 1984 Ford Truck Parts Catalog (Text Version), as well as the 1984 Ford Trucks Parts Catalog (Illustrations Version). The part number above, ( E4TE) 9A589 is not even listed, for any year (1980-1984) or any model? What gives?
I know you know what your doing... and your help is appreciated. I was asking why would there be a part number on the spacer, that is not in the book? Trying to figure out how to read these manuals.
Very funny... Jerry Sienfeld and George Castanza...
Any idea what the numbers are for a Tubing (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve to Exhaust Manifold) are and where I can get one? I got E0TZ 9D477 B from the book. Dennis Carpenter has one, but for some reason, it doesn't exactly look like mine?

I got E0TZ 9D477 B = (1980/83) from the book. Dennis Carpenter has one, but for some reason, it doesn't exactly look like mine? (because, it's the wrong tube).
