Results of the Sun. car show at the Big "O' flea market in Okeechobee Fla. . Last yr . was 2nd over all . This yr. that was corrected w/ a Best of Show & Peoples Choice . Was once again humbled by the unexpected results . Voting was by entrants & spectators . Speaks volumes when you are recognized by your peers .
Maybe a show on the 17th then the big one on Boca on Feb . 25th . The little woman "Char " accepted the awards and is as this is being written shopping for my out fit (clothes ) for the Boca show . Almost can't wait to see what she comes home with . Said "You know you have to dress the parts for this once in a life time experience " I would be happy w/ the red knee length shorts w/ FORD emblems . my old school white shirt w/ large FORD patch on back & the Dennis name tag on pocket and the large brim straw hat .

Many of my car show buddies stated we haven't seen you at any of the car shows lately .Maybe after the daily double Sun.they may reconsider those comments .

Next I will here from the car show crowd "Denny is rising up in the show car scene as he now has some one accepting his awards " Not true I was busy loading up the dog & pony show & next time is my turn .

Well she returned w/ said outfit . The only way a pic of that is going to be posted is by a covert photographer at the show or a major mistake by yours truly . We will see .

No chance of any trouble . The blond in red w/ the straw hat is the support unit & has been for the last 25 yrs. The lady in blue I have know for 37 yrs. She is like family . Mary (in blue ) was at our wedding Feb 10 '96 . Char & I went on a music cruise or our 20th & and in Jan 2-7 2018 for our 22nd anniv. It was awesome . 21 artists for 5 days & 4 nights of rock & roll . We seen ,to name a few ,The Zombies w. many original members ( C Blundstone & Rod Argent ), Alan Parsons & ELO in one day . 3rd row seats for Parsons & ELO . Sat 2 seats away from John Lodge (bassist for the Moody Blues) for an hour during Eddie Trunks live radio show . It was the 23 rd time seeing the MB's .
Other artists were Rare Earth , Al Stewart , Randy Hanson , Frank Hannon of Tesla ( whose father -in-law is Dickie Betts ) , Shawn Phillips , Young Dublineers ( warp speed Irish ) Little River Band , Ambrosia , Jefferson Airplane (w/ 2 original members of the Airplane ) Strawbs , Ides of March ( Jim P sat w/ us for breakfast Sun morn and Graeme Edge sat across from us another morning ) Lighthouse , and many others
These music cruises are addictive & we will go again .
Since it is the 50th anniv. of the album "Days of Future Passed " the Moodies played every song on the album .It was epic !!

 

Congratulations Denny, it's nice to see all that attention to detail get recognized by your peers. "Cool Beans Man", and Ill even throw in a "Neatto Pie Super Jet", yeah it's that special

 

Good luck with the big show. We all enjoy when you bring home the prize.
