Quick question about 4.2 v-6 reliabilty
#17
In 2007-2008, Consumer Reports rated Ford F-150 V6 (4.2L) most-reliable domestic vehicle you could buy as new. It was rated excellent in reliability, just behind Toyota Tundra. Since then, NONE of the new F-150s can match the reliability score of 2008 V6. This was also Ford's last OHV pushrod engine, which ended production after 2008 model year. 3.7L Cyclone DOHC V6 was the successor, and now it ends production again after 2018 model year. 4.9L I6 < 4.2L V6 < 3.7L V6, what a journey.
