Gooseneck

I have a 2006 F-250 with the 5.4 3V Engine. I am looking at getting a gooseneck trailer to haul my bobcat. Gooseneck Trailer is about 4,500lbs.. I usually haul around 8,000 to 9,000lbs with the bumper pull i have now. Thoughts?

does the 8 or 9 thousand include the 4500?

What gears do you have for the truck? I suspect you are going to be a little heavy for the 5.4, but it can be done.

It has the 3.73 gears Short bed 2WD.

no that’s what I usually haul with the trailer I have now.

How much does the Bobcat weight? What the gross trailer weight?

Where you tow is as important as what you tow. Live in Louisiana, where its flat, and only tow locally? The 5.4 will probably be fine. Live in western Colorado and tow through the mountains regularly? That's a MUCH bigger task.
