Bearing Clearance

How much rod and main bearing clearance is acceptable in a 226 or 254?

Book says:
Front, intermediate and rear mains - .0005" to .0032"
Rods - .0004" to .0027"
Seems a little snug to me though.
Same for H and M engines.

Note those are the "as manufactured" clearances. Somewhere there are "service limits" but I can't find them. I'd say if either are more than. 005" you'll have oil pressure concerns.

If your Plastigage comes in at .0025" to .004" you will qualify ok.
