Remote start range.

Has anyone noticed a short distance in their factory remote start range?
It seems like mine only works when I'm about 100 feet or so from the truck, maybe 150.
If there is a way to increase it with out installing after market chime in.

Thanks

Try replacing your battery in the remote. Mine starts from nearly 100 yds away. One of my two keys is noticeably better than the other. My only guess is the battery.

I agree, mine has started at over 100 yards with a clear line of site.

Mine seems about 75 to 100 yards. But I have to hold the remote up in the air. And clear line of sight

I was around 100 yards when I remote started from here. I was on the 11th floor of a hotel.

I like the way you park...all the way to the curb, I'm sure it's to avoid door dings.
I do the same thing. It drives the wife crazy. She complains when I'm at the far end of the lot, I tell 'er we need the exercise anyway. LOL

I would have to agree with everyone else. about 100 yards. I remote start mine about 75 yards away, but I do it inside a brick building without a line of sight.

I do this and someone will just crowd the line on the other side or cross it.

My experience has been 75 to 100 yards as well. I have not tried it past that range but when I come out of the airport here I always use the remote start during the winter months and I am always within that range and it has always worked.

Range on mine seems on par with other vehicles I've owned. Trying holding the fob in the air, or up to your chin (apparently your body makes a good antenna - haha).

I installed the remote access modules and haven't used my key fob for remote start since. I highly suggest it. Start the truck from anywhere.

Any truck with remote start, uses an app on your cell phone. It will start anywhere you can get a cell signal.
