Sixty-two days until the puck drops on the frozen ponds across America. Who is most likely to win Lord Stanley's Cup this upcoming season. Will Detroit do it again, they have the skill? Will Colorado make it back to the top? How about Dallas? Los Angeles is building a strong team to contend? Believe it or not, even Anaheim made some big roster additions this past off season. In the East, will Toronto finally take it home again? Will Philadelphia accidentally mess up and win it for some unknown reason? Atlanta didn't have a great winning record last season, but with the skill they have down there, it won't take long. Was last year only a Cinderella story for Carolina, or just the begining of something big? Can Boston make it back to the playoffs without Bill Guerin? And just how good will Montreal be with Koivu for the entire season? Le Habitants. That's just fun to say.
As you all probably know, I'm a Boston fan myself. However, I'm not biased towards them. I don't think the management is ready to make the decisions there to lead them to a cup. They certainly have the skill and energy to do so if they are used properly, but management will screw that up again. I look to see a Colorado/Toronto battle for the Cup. Let's see what happens.
I would love to see the Capitals get abck to the finals but they seem to shoot themselves in the foot every year mostly with bad trade but also with injuries and just bad play. It would be great of Bondra and Olie Kolzig could pick up a cup. Don't think its gonna happen this year but maybe soon.
