There's a guy on another state with a 68 f100 chassis under a 53 body. He hasn't really bolted it up yet, I gather as I think he has chickened out on the project and just wondered if anyone has done a 68 vintage chassis on a 53-56? and whether its a good thing. I mean instant power steering, disk brakes, 9" diff for one.

I guess what i am asking is, how well do they fit?
thanks gents

Lots of differences between those years, body to frame. I would think that you would be better off finding a '48-'56 with good bones and then upgrading it to get what you want. There are so many after market kits available to do whatever you want. IMHO most of those hack jobs just look weird. They destroy some of the elegant lines.
