I don't understand paying all that money for something you won't even see..You'll be in the truck while they are on..Other people will be enjoying them, though..
Here’s a video of my Supernova v3’s I love my aftermarket LED’s. I believe they are at least as bright as OEM led if not brighter due to the quad design and huge reflectors. No regrets here.
Personally, the LED headlight package completely changes the look of the truck. The LED lights will be on my new truck at any cost. I don’t particularly care for the look of the halogen set up.
The rest of the equipment that must come with the Led light option would definitely be on my order anyway.
Wrong! My $74 Beamtech LED lights are outstanding!
Well I hope you're one of the lucky ones then!
Generally speaking, after a year or so the cheap 3rd party Chinese capsules start flickering and then die. They just do not like heat, and these hi powered capsules just cannot off-baord the heat well at all, even w fans! (which most seal in with a dust cap anyways, huh?). They just are not nearly as good as LED's built on a flat board with heat sinks like Car Mfgr OE ones.
I've tried and tested more than 13 sets in my powersport toys. Most all have gone back to HID (Philips/Osram HID combo is not Chinese junk btw, and is simply the best we've tested to date).

If you want them and can afford them, get them. If you don't want them and/or can't afford them, then don't. That's what's beautiful about living in America. I wanted a Platinum and part of the reason was the LED headlights. Best damn lights I've had on any new vehicle.
One of my biggest regrets buying our 17' STX Super Cab was the Headlights. I've never questioned a new car purchased for it's headlight performance or the lack of. My wife and I were towing our travel trailer in rural area where we had never been before. We were relying on the Navigation for directions in the pitch black. The Navigation was saying turn Left. All we could see were deep ditches. To the point I got out and looked for the turn.
A week later I traded our 3 month old truck for one with LED Lights. They are with every dollar. Yes, I considered upgrading the Bulbs to LED. If the LED conversions were 100% reliable then I may have. We use this truck for traveling, I don't need the thought of a potential headlight failure or flickering while traveling with my wife because I wanted to save a couple of dollars. We do enjoy our new Platinum.
