I've trying to fix my running boards lights that Installed my self a while back. Last night I pick up some new led to reinstall on my truck again. I got the idea of getting power from my cargo lights. I mange to get power from the cargo lights and now my running boards lights are turning on. When I open a close the doors just like I wanted them too.
Now for my question. Do I add a fuse to wires coming from the truck to the cargo lights or do I add the fuse to my running board lights. My fuse is a inline 20 gauge couldn't find anything smaller. My cargo light wire is 26ish gauge. If i soder them together would i have any problems from blowing. I'm trying to protect my bcm from farther damage.
