Sounds like timelines from order to delivery are hovering right around 7-8 weeks. Mine has a build date coming up in just under two weeks and we'll see how long it takes to make it CA.

OK, newbie here. I posted similar question in a different forum.
What is COTUS?
I gave dealer a deposit on 2018 F250 Lariat Ultimate CC 4x4 diesel on 1/23 and he pressed "Order"
He didn't return my call today, so maybe he knows nothing.
What can I find out for myself (without the dealer) and how?

I know 1 thing that may impact building a unit is parts on back order. In 1 configuration, the gear ratio selected was on back order. I chose a different gear ratio, and no back order.

Thanks,

COTUS is the Ford customer order tracking system. Once your order has been accepted by Ford you should be able to get a VIN for your vehicle. In theory you put this number into the tracker and you will see the updates to the major cycles of the build, transit and delivery phases. I say in theory because it doesn’t always seem to work
You can find it at COTUS.ford.com. Your dealer has a more informative system but they don’t always seem willing to look it up for you! Good luck

My understanding is that 250’s show up in COTUS, but that 350’s don’t.

F250 SUPER DUTY CREW CAB Gas engine. Basic truck no 4X4 and long box.
In ORDER PROCESSING: 12DEC2017 (date I ordered truck from Dealer)
PRODUCED 23JAN2017
AWAITING SHIPMENT: 24JAN2018
IN TRANSIT 28JAN2018
I have been given the following deliver dates:
13FEB2017, 22FEB2017, 24FEB2017 and yesterday 06MAR2017.
Not being an engineer can someone explain to me why it takes 38 days for a vehicle to travel 1700 miles that averages to about 44 miles a day. Some people walk at a pace of 4 miles an hour which equates to 32 miles a day + -. I called the dealer today and told him that I am on line looking for a truck that is on the lot and not their lot. I told the salesman I understand you don't build them just sell them. If I don't hear from my dealer today I found a 2018 Dodge Ram that is on the lot. I sold my present truck, told the salesman that I need the truck before the end of February, said no problem. We are leaving the area MAR 1st. More disappointed than Angry. Only two members have a sense of urgency in this deal, the salesman to sell and me to purchase. It is my opinion that for everyone else it is business as usual.

It is my opinion that some of FORDS COTUS IT's should be terminated. A major corporation like FORD and some of their sites are, for lack of a better word CRAP.

Well I ordered the truck 12/23 but dealer really officially didn’t put order in until 12/27. I’ve been checking COTUS and Etis religiously with no news. Found another site where I was at least able to bring up my window sticker. On the bottom of the sticker was today’s date. Is there any information on the window sticker which shows when the truck’s build will be complete.
Finally approximately how long until it arrives at the dealer?
