air filters

was looking at the napa website shows a conical shaped air filter for the 98 2.5l ranger is there two different air filters really used on the ranger

That sounds like a aftermarket type of filter.

NAPA has it listed wrong, or the guy looked up the wrong year. Rangers had conical (comical) air cleaners and filters 95-97 only.

No, the conical worked better then prior years, but not nearly as good as the 98 thick flat panel air cleaner.
