I'm not exactly cat-converter friendly, ummm I mean knowledgable. Could someone tell me why my 99 Ranger has 2 cats on a single exhuast? (seems like overkill.lol) And can one be removed without any adverse effects?

he is partially correct. all depends on where you live. i know here in michigan if it was born with a cat "leagaly" it dies with a cat. also, dont forget about your emmision test. i dont have any here, but i think ohio? maybe california? but look up your state laws before you go cutting them off. the reason the have 2 is to pass the emision laws.
