How to find power running board problem

the power running boards both quit working at the same time several weeks ago. There were icy roads, so I thought they might be frozen. Cold spell is over, and they still won't work. I put a new fuse in today, and that didn't solve the problem. What should I check next?

This may sound dumb and you may have already done it, but have you checked the settings in the dash? Only thing that makes me think this could be it is the fact they both aren't working. If the voltage gets low enough they will default to "off" in the settings.
