I want to revive a 1996 Ford Bronco XLT

So I made a previous post regarding a Bronco my friend wanted to sell me but it ended up not working out due to personal reasons. But come to find out my fiances best friends parents have a 96 XLT fully loaded, tow package 5.8 motor leather seats all the good stuff. It's currently got 230,000 miles but it's been sitting in the elements since 2008 being started now and then and was well kept up before it sitting. I already tried to start it and it turns over but won't start. Hooked up my new battery out of my fusion and put gas in it but nothing. Hopefully I didn't cause further damage doing that. So how would I go about trying to revive this beast without causing permanent damage to anything? They say everything runs strong but it's just been sitting. I'm hoping the truck still has some life left in it and it just needs to be restarted and have routine maintenance done but Ive never dealt with trying to revive a vehicle sitting the long

Fuel goes bad in about 3 months. If you hear the pump run, then I would be looking to get all of the old fuel out and get new fuel in it.
