I am looking for a set of basic looking shiny black wheels in 16x8 size with the 8x170 bolt pattern. I have tried Summit Racing, 4 wheel parts, and NTW online and haven't been able to find much. Anyone know where else to look?
I have seen owners buy aluminum factory wheels from salvage yards and have them sand blasted and painted. If done properly they will hold up well. Just a thought.
I am putting them on a guys truck that has a 2" leveling kit and he's going to run 305/70/16 tires so I think the stock wheel offset may rub the leaves at full lock. On mine with 315/75/16, 4" lift and stock wheels would rub on the leaves until I put 2" wheel spacers on and that fixed it. What do think about the black Ion Alloys in 16x8 with a -5 offset, 305/70/16s and a 2" leveling kit will it rub?
You can always try PlastiDip. I used it to do the wheels on my Ram and it works great. If you decide you don't like black wheels, you just peel it off. Mine lasted for 2yrs. Every once in awhile, I'd get the spray can back out and touch up the nicks and such - no big deal at all. I used it on one of my track cars also.
If the owner likes the factory eight hole look, Mickey Thompson, ultra, eagle alloy, and pro comp make black eight hole wheels in 16x7, 16x8, and 16x10 for under $130 a piece

I have 305/70/16 on 16X10 wheels that don't rub at all on my stock truck, but i do have the x code springs. Not sure on the offset, as I have had them for years, but they do significantly stick out farther than the originals. Only problem i see, is I think they have been hard on the front end, as I am on my 3rd set of ball joints and second set of hub bearings in 75K miles.

Thanks for the input. It sounds like you are getting some crappy ball joints, I have 315/75/16s with 2" wheel spacers and the truck has 153K on it and only had the ball joints replaced once before I got it.
