I personally havent seen this problem before, especially on the older air bag type systems if that is what you have. Pressure is simply dumped from the bags when they are released. I do believe that the older super duty had some wiring problems with wires getting chaffed at the seat frames and we had a TSB to reroute the wiring and install convolute plastic covering to increase durability. Perhaps you have some broken wiring under there?
