Wondering if any of you are running in to the same problems. I bought a F350 6.0 three months ago. When it was three days old it was towed back to the dealership because it wouldn't start. Dealership said they couldn't reproduce but knew of all of the problems and had no sugjestions. I have been in several times now and have the latest software upgrade as of 2 weeks ago. When truck is cold it rumbles and blows black smoke. Also when it is cold it will not develope anymore than 1K rpms under load thus it doesn't have enough to engage the turbo so it just sits there with your foot to the floor. It also stalls sometimes when idling and has stalled on two occasions when I was driving it. Dealership acknowledges every problem but doesn't work on it saying there is nothing they can do and that they'll pass it up the chain. After several calls to talk to regional rep he just never calls. Now they say they have some sort of SWAT (accronym) team coming into to look at it but I have already last confidence in them when they denied that they were having any of these problems with the new software upgrade that I already have.
Does anyone have similar occorunces or ideas as to what I can do short of hiring an attorney.
Yes I have had the same problems look at my thread "WONT TURN OVER". Since I had over 20k miles befor the first stall I thought I was past any problems I had been told about. I should say I still love the truck but not to ready to drive to far the dealer(not good after buying a truck with a msrp of $45k and the adding another $ 15k in add ons.)
I guess I am going to hang on to my 7.3 for a while longer until these probs get worked out. Didn't know what was going on with the 6.0 until I checked out these pages.
I am not having any real problems at this time. Just "issues".
The a/c not cooling properly at idle speed, the "hanging drip"
on the bell housing that never drops on the driveway, and of
course the thought of the possibilty of fuel leaking into the oil.
Just tripped 2000 miles, checked the mpg and got 17.2 mpg,
the longest trip being 38 miles one way. The rest being city
driving. Good luck and hopefully Ford wil get all problems and
"issues" corrected.

No, they say that it isn't attributed to one thing that they can just fix, so the dealership has taken a hands off attitude and is just trying to schedule it for buyback like several others that they and Ford can't fix.
Thanks Rich

If you have been reading my "WONT TURN OVER" it seems some of your problems sound like mine as of today it is running like it always did. Check out what are common between the two trucks and maybe thay have not tried on your truck what they did on mine. Good luck.

Don,
Just to let you know yesterday truck stalled for approx 3 seconds while pulling load up hill and then continued on. Today it stalled and couldn't be restarted. Was towed back to dealership again and Ford said they would have an engineer out tomorrow at 10 to look at it.
