Ok, First my truck wouldnt start So i messed with the timing and it didnt start. So i took out the plugs and cleaned them up some and it ran pretty good. So i drove it around the yard and up the road some and thought I could back right up this hill in my yard. It made the hill but i didnt stop in time and The front tires droped in the ditch. And i have no Front drive shaft so i couldnt lock it in and pull it out. So i stoped and got out. My mom yells that thing is smokein alot! it smokes some because of oil leaking on the manifold but this was ALOT of smoke. I pop the hood to find some of my wiring and A/C on fire!! i took my dogs water dish and threw it on it.. lol.. But it still starts up and every thing I just got to get it out of the ditch.. here are a few pics.. lol.
I hsould have taken somepicts of my truck and posted them, it was stuck in my back yard...thing is, I live in a suburb, middle of a subdivision, neighbors where not happy....My 4x4 was buried 8inches in the yard, all 4 tires.
Well hope you get your truck out, looks like you have a nice toy to play around with.
But I got scared today too when i seen my truck on fire! i have had it happen a few times before but this was a big fire compared to the others. Heres what i think happend, I cleaned the plugs with a wire brush and Carb Cleaner and i think i sparyed some carb cleaner on the mainfold and it got hot and started burning and that caught the insulation on my a/c on fire and that got to some wire.. it all still works good and all though. Ill just wrap some eletric tape around it.. lol.. good as new..
