We have an engine at our shop that is used on a brush chipper. It is a Ford 360 that we think is around the 70's. We had a Mastercraft (canadian tire) oil filter on it that leaked. So I looked up the year and size of the engine up in the FRAM catalog and we had one laying around (I know, I bought it a long time ago) that said would fit on it. I believe it was a PH8 filter. It is for sure compatible with a 87 Ranger 2.3 L because that is what it was bought for. So can the same filter in a ranger fit this engine if it is the Ford filter? I believe a lot of the Ford trucks in the 80s and 90s took the same filter (FL1A I belive?).
Also, what filter does a 96 F-150 I-6 4.9L take? Thanks!
