Intelligent access stopped working on driver side.
Well the damn thing stopped working on the driver door. Passeger door still works. Tried holding the fob closer still didnt work. Off to the dealer I guess, unless somebody has a suggestion.
Probably just dirty with road grime water. A good wash with soap and water and it's fine. I am on my second window and it happens a time or two because the road grime water get win side the handle over the sensor.
this happened to me too.....think it froze up plus all that crap from the road....just had a bunch of snow the other day
Was froze up on electrical contacts. Surprised it didnt happen before now. We had sub zero temps a few weeks ago. This was my first issue with it. They ordered me a new latch. They said they change something on the 17s. I forget what he said exactly but something like all the electronics are on the handle. Before they werent. The day before I brought it to the dealer, I sprayed it off. I noticed when I finished only the driver door was locked. Water must have glitched it out. Next morning the truck driver door would not unlock electronically at all. Key fob, access code , nothing would unlock. Thank God for the key because thats the only thing that would unlock the driver door. Anyway, new door latch on order, hopefully thats the end of it.
I was under the understanding that the shield was for pre 9-1-17 trucks. Mine was built shortly after that and I just noticed the same issue today. Was hoping to avoid the dealer like the plague but I guess a visit is necessary. I have had passive entry on other vehicles since 2006 and have never had an issue.
I retract my previous statement. The date of the recall went until 9-1-16. My truck was built 9-9-17. The water shield addition had to do with a door opening issue regarding the actuator and internal components. I don’t think my issue or this other gentleman’s are the same.
