Is anyone having a problem with returning to the main page after viewing one thread? Of late I either get this message if I try to click on the “1948 - 1956 F1, F100 & Larger F-Series Trucks” return line or nothing happens. If nothing I have to click on it multiple times and finally a message saying “Safari can’t access this sight....” I have to hit the return arrow then the “1948 - 1956 F1, F100 & Larger F-Series Trucks” again and it goes back to the main page. This is on my iPhone and only this site. Any ideas. I use full site not Mobil site

Maybe it is because it is winter time and cold in most garages. We can't work on or want to drive our trucks............so on the Net we go to see what is happening and/or how to processed on the next phase of our projects.
I only had problems for about 36 hours, then it was fine.
Maybe Dave has problems because they know he is an imposter. The forum knomes checked in his garage and saw he doesn’t have a ‘49 F-3, he has a ‘38 Studebaker. They’re not going to waste bandwidth on a traitor. 😝

I knew there had to be a reason and this makes sense. I will just have to take one of my pictures and have it blown up to full size. Put it in the door way of the garage. Then take a pic from the street and maybe they will think I have the F3 back. If that doesn't work do you think I can convince them I'm using the Studebaker as a parts car for a FORD 49 COE rebuild?
I just can't loose my standing as an old FORD pckup guy. I'm desparate for help. Some one please help before I am totally relagated to the AACA and Studebaker forums only. I'm fading awaa a a a y y !

On my iPhone when I use Safari to access FTE it goes to a site with reduced content. Then there is a button at the bottom of the page that asks me if I want to go to the full sized site. If I click on that button things slow down considerably. Make sure that you are closing your apps by swiping up in order to start Safari (or any app) with a "clean slate" (i.e. nothing in memory).
How to close apps on your iPhone or iPad | Macworld
If you want to switch to another app, simply tap on the app's icon or thumbnail. To close an app, though, simply swipe upward on that app's thumbnail until you flick it off of the screen. You can close just one app, or close them all if you like. Once you're done, either tap on an open app or press the Home button.
Pete, thanks that is what I do. Why does it slow down on the “Full site” ? Are they trying to force us to use the Mobil site? I pay for the subscription and feel the full site should be available at a reasonable speed. Why pay if you can’t get full benefits?
I love the forum and the people I’ve met but this hassle is getting old. Kind of like me I guess but I still believe in giving good service to my customers.

The mobile site transfers less data. The DL/UL speeds are the same, there's just more "stuff" on the full site.
It makes sense that less stuff is faster BUT shouldn’t you get what you pay for NOT just what they decide is better for them? Why pay if you can’t get reasonable speed like it was about 6 weeks or so ago? Never had this problem until late Nov early Dec so there had to be a change somewhere. I do not believe it has anything to do with congress changing the internet laws as I do not have the problem on the AACA or Studebaker forums.
Don’t get me wrong I’m in favor of the membership cost and have renewed for multiple years but I am beginning to question that logic.

ET is correct . . . more content gets downloaded on a full site. The reduced site and the mobile version are there to make it faster. Most people who access the FTE site on their mobile phones do so on a slower mobile carrier data network vs a faster WiFi network. Also the processors on mobile phones are not as powerful as desktop or laptop computers so reduced content helps them load faster.
I haven't noticed a change. What version iPhone are you using? And what carrier are you using to access the internet?
Pete. I am sitting at home and have the iPhone settings using the wifi in the house. Same WiFi I use for my office (I work out of the house - computer service bureau working with magazine subscription data bases) which I know has good speed for large data transfers.
I appreciate the answers but it still doesn’t explain what happened to change the speed or processing compared to six weeks ago.
I guess it’s just the way it is going to be.
I do appreciate all of the answers even ET’s of my not having the F3 anymore.
Have fun
