Bought a 1993 f250 with no bed and am currently waiting on flatbed to show up for it. Anybody with a flatbed could send me some pics of how you got yours mounted and any tips would be welcome im not sure about getting the bed to sit level how much difference is the frame off front to rear to compensate for the hump over rear axle thanks in advance
Mines a cab and chassis, so don't know if the frames are different or not.
My flatbed is mounted with 4 big U bolts that go thru the bed runners and down both frame rails front and back.
I've got pressure treated lumber between the bed and frame rails to level everything out. I tried to conture the lumber to fit the frame curves the best I could, just to make it look neat.
Problem I ran into that I hear plagues most Ford flatbeds is the filler necks don't have enough slope in them with the necks mounted thru the flatbed side. I have to drive up on a 4x4 block of wood, and pull down on the middle of the filler neck while filling the gas tank. The rear tank isn't near as bad as the front tank though.
Thanks for the reply yeah I think cab and chassis trucks have a straight frame mine has the hump in it anybody else has any pics of a truck like mine and some measureents off it
Flatbed has gooseneck and receiver hitch built in it has to be mounted with shear plates. I have a general idea what I need to do just looking for somebody that has done it before or has a truck with a flatbed on it for some measurements anybody?
