Hey guys I have a 93 F-150 xlt
Anyhow my driverside power window stopped working, but when I tap it it works again, anyhow I took it out and I opened it up, the gear area and the "peanuts"(I think that is the "techincal" term) look really loose.. meaning I can turn the gear about 1/4 turn back and forth, it looks like the things on the inside are all cracked up and stuff, can these be replaced and does anyone know of a part number?
Also on the passenger side it gets about halfway down and slows down really bad, I have discovered this is due to the bushing in the motor track, because I greased it up and it helped a bit, but the bushing is shot.. can I replace that bushing and does anyone know a number?
need to go to your dealer and have a sit down, They can pull up pictures and tell you what parts are availible and how they are available (ie. as an assembly or individual parts) Those parts your looking for are likely not something that Your local napa auto parts store wont have so a trip to the dealer is probably your only choice. And if you dont like the price or how you have to buy the part you can just not buy them. And it wont cost you a penny. If all else fails junk yard.
NAPA carries a rebuild kit for the gears, assuming that your motor still works OK. Don't have the part number handy, contact me if your counter guy/girl can't find it. Hanno
