I started using the Turtle Ice Spray wax years ago. Works great and easy to apply. I'm a fan.
No difference in paint care between steel and aluminum bodies vehicles. Another vote for ICE. I use the liquid 2-3 times/year, and the spray wax as a detailer after washing. The truck always feels like it was just waxed.
I used to use Zaino for my sealant but I switched to Adam's Polishes. My criteria for a wax or sealant, in no particular order:
1. It has to be easy to put on and take off. No carnauba wax for me. The last carnauba wax I used was from Griot's Garage and it was a PITA.
2. It has be be easily available. Adam's is here in Colorado, I've been to their shop. I can order it shipped to my house also. Not as easy as going to the auto parts store though.
3. It can't be stupid expensive.
4. It has to last through multiple car washes. I wax twice a year and wash probably 30 times a year.
5. It has to look good but it doesn't have to be car show good.
Thanks for the replies! Vehicle waxing is is an activity that I really don't like to do, seems like there is always something else I need to be doing. If I decide to hire this duty out, what questions should I ask the shop? What type of service/application should I be looking to have done? Thanks very much.
"Collinite 845" two times a year then Adams detail spray after washing in between waxing... Adams detail spray is a bit pricey but after trying several different types it worked the best for me plus it smells good.
