In-bed Fuel Tank Recommendations

Have 2017 F350 DRW with 8' bed and backflip cover. Interested in an auxiliary bed fuel tank to supplement the OEM 48 gallon.

Looking for something around 50+ gallons that will ...

- Easy to install (diy)
- Works with Backflip cover
- Least intrusive
- RELIABLE

So who has been there/done that with info to share?

Put this in yesterday. ATI 46 gallon. No pics installed, but I blocked it up 3 inches on each end so I still have full bed length for some plywood or 2x's and such. Gravity feed. cut the filler neck and put in a tee. Nice 94 gallons for trips with the TT.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Curious how you "blocked it up" to save bed space?

Also if gravity fill what prevens fuel from overflowing out OEM filler cap?

I know there are aftermarket setups that will pump 5 gallons from aux tank to OEM tank on demand with sensors to prevent overfilling OEM tank, etc

I cut some 2x8's to the curve of the sides (tapers in at front) two two by's just gives full bed length for anything that fits under the tank. 3" tall stuff like some plywood or whatever., I figured better than nothing. otherwise it would just be wasted space above the tank. the tank itself is 16 1/.2" tall and the filler neck is about two inches. I havent tried filling it yet. Some guys were saying wait till truck tank is at 1/4 then open valve to aux. tank. The tee looked like there was a check valve in the part that goes to the tank hose. We'll see
