I'm not sure what you mean by 2" spacers "in the rear", but I've got 285s up front and they rub when turned to lock.

He's a Dually. Without spacers the two back tires on the same side will rub, especially with a load.

The tires touching (under load) does not matter. The tires are in a locked position together.

When tires build heat they cannot get air between them to help cool sidewalls
