Door Pannel
Door Pannel
I'm installing some new speakers in my truck and I need to remove the door pannel, my only problem is, I can't get the door pannel off. I have removed two screws and the only think holding it on seems to be the handle to roll down the window. How do you take that off?
Thanks

I went through a similar problem...in addition to the screw in the armrest there should be about 6 short screws along the bottom of the panel and another by the vent window.
Mine is power, but the Haynes manual says the XL has a screw at the window handle assemble where it turns (it might have some kind of plastic cover). Youll need to remove the crank and washer. The panel is clipped onto the frame, be careful how you pry it away (manual suggests a thin screwdriver...not to bend the panel away from itself.
Good luck

On the window crank handle, the outer part of the handle snaps on the main part. Where the window crank meets the door panel, stick your fingers under the edge of the crank handle and push outward, the outer part snaps away to reveal a torx head screw in the center of the crank ( just like the older style ) that allows to to take the handle right off. The outer part of the handle stays with the crank itself but it pivots at the **** so you can twist it out of the way while working on it.
If this is isn't what you were after, sorry.

"Jville", That is also a nickname for a town close to where I live.
But I also figured that any town anywhere that started with a "J" and ended with a "ville" could be called the same.
But I just wondered if you were close by.
Thanks,
