2018 - The Year to 'Git After It

Welcome to the future!

Alright folks, we're going to dispense with the tired resolutions about weight, exercise, smoking, and assorted personal vices. You can wrassle with those demons as you wish. Here, were going to commit to Finishing Something in '18.

What task, act, or (dare I say) project will you make a public vow? Keep in mind, we'll be reviewing these in twelve months, so no back sliding!

Whatcha got?

Great idea for a thread! I'll go first...

In 2018, I'll finish the '46 Tudor project AND get a relative's 36 pickup project into primer.

I hope to get the new shop built. At least the shell. Smaller projects: I just want to get back on to working on my projects. I took a two year sabbatical of sorts.

Happy New Year!

Major goal: Get the ‘53 on the road. Legally and practically.

Minor goal: Drive it to a Truckstock.

Notice I didn’t say “finished”. I said on the road.

It is an undeniable truth that project vehicles are never finished - some are just done for now.

I’m going to work on watching everyone else finish the project they are working on. I’ll also enjoy seeing them at TS at Falls Creek. Have fun.

OK, my turn.

This year I plan to get the '49 F3 assembled and road worthy enough to drive from Maine to the Penn truckstock. Right now it is just a frame with the driveline roughly bolted in. The rebuilt 226 engine hasn't been fired up yet. Bodywork isn't done. The body is in 1,500 unassembled pieces at the moment.
I can't do anything until the weather warms up in April or May.
It was -20 degrees this morning and I have an unheated one-car garage.
Needless to say I have to get my **** in gear when things warm up.
Tom

Work is work, Jafo, and progress is progress regardless of the vehicle.

Going to do whatever it takes to make my clutch stop chattering on take-off. Real irritating.
