Good frozen morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started out at 17°, clear and well frosted. Suns out, blue skies and we are now having a heat wave at 18°!
Not sure if it was a tribal thing or if the she was conditioning for soccer, but the 16 year old girl across the road took off out of the house at a dead run this morning, bare footed, pajama bottoms and just a bra on. Ran down the road as fast as she could, turned around, ran back to the house and through the front door. Nobody chasing her so I didn't have to shoot anyone...by the time she got back to the house she had her arms wrapped around her like maybe the 17° was a bit chillier than she was expecting?
That's what I get for taking the garbage out a 0600 I guess. Maybe I need to start paying more attention to what is going on around here...either that or its time to eliminate my sister so I can move back to the farm.

Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Back to waiting by the phone. Got in touch with an attorney from the old days, secretary is going to have them call me to see if they will handle the camper case.
Tony, at the transmission shop has the transmission dissected. Apparently the fellow I bought it from years ago was not exactly 100% accurate. Tony says that someone had been into the transmission, but that it had not been rebuilt and has the OEM torque converter in it. He suspects that is where all of the metallic sludge on the magnet was coming from.

Ugh. That stinks Jim. I paid about $3k to have the transmission in my ‘95 rebuilt with heavy duty clutch packs, a shift kit, and triple disc converter. Then I sold it to a friend a year or so later, and then he rolled it in a ditch near Newport. He still has it, and it stills runs and drives, but the cab is toast.
He keeps saying he’s going to shorten the frame and stick the body from his ‘79 Bronco on it. That would be a cool rig.

I'm suspecting it will end up between 3 and 3.5K, minus a 10% military discount. Tony knows our history so he will 'getter done right'. I was trying to think of an excuse to spend the house painting money on something other than stucco, elastomeric paint and trim.
I'm really more concerned with the camper situation right now. That's starting to take on the appearance of a bucket of worms...the red ones you find at the bottom of a sewer settling pond!

You know, now that I'm thinking more carefully about those phone calls, I'm confused as to which they were talking about!

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Back to normal February 37°, overcast and rain, should be able to find some daffodils now.

Good afternoon / evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Very mixed weather day here today. Wind, rain, sunshine, clouds...just about the time I thought it was safe to stick my head out and do something, some kind of weather event would interfere.
Got the old refrigerator vent cover off of the good camper, (UV craze, cracks and maby a low tree limb) but then almost got blown off the roof and the rain was coming down sideways. Got a garbage bag over the opening and a tarp over that and called it quits. Maybe tomorrow it will be dry enough to get the RV sealant and caulking on. It can rain on it right away, but it has to be dry when I put it on.

Good soggy morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 41, wet, heavy overcast with some real nasty looking stuff moving our way from the west. Another February morning in Oreogn.
