As I was coasting down a long hill tonight and while having my tow/haul mode on my truck started to feel like it was riding over rumble strips. Came to the light and proceeded and still had the vibration. Pulled over and did a walk around and smelled something burning but couldn’t figure out what or where. Didn’t see any leaks. I just put new bigger tires on last week. 8 degrees out. Wondering if e brake was holding up some. Already drove 3-4 miles before this happened. Kinda smelled like brakes. Drove home another 35 miles without any issues. Would using my tow haul button harm anything with the transmission? Anyone ever have symptoms like this? Thanks
I'm no expert by any means! The only thing I always look for when I hear this (by virtue of reading various posts here) is to check your driveshaft components. I believe a 6.5 foot bed, crew-cab truck is the 157" WB chassis. Therefore I think it has a 2-piece driveshaft. Check to ensure there is no issue there.
Perhaps the bigger tires changed the geometry just enough to cause a problem when the driveline is loaded the opposite way (when using the engine to slow you up)? Just "spit-balling" here!

Thanks but it all went away after I had stopped to check things out. I’m leaning towards a stuck on e brake and the smell
