fuel filter replacement
I have a 1993 F350 crew cab dually, with a 460. Got bad gas in BOTH tanks, and dry gas helped but I gotta replace the filter.
Now, don't know if I'm just having a brain fart, or the devil is seriously messing with me, but I CANNOT get the fuel lines off of the filter.
It's inline on the frame, with the "C" shaped clips that slip onto both the filter and the line fitting. I can completely rotate the filter 360 degrees inside of the fittings, but I just cannot get them to come off of the filter and am afraid I might damage the fittings.
Though I am tempted to buy me some fuel line and hose clamps...

fuel filter replacement
You need a special tool to get the hoses off the fuel filter. It kinda clamps around the neck of the filter and then slides in between the filter and the fitting, allowing you to remove the hose. Just go to your local auto parts store and ask them for it, they'll know what you need (hopefully
).

fuel filter replacement
Yes, you need the tools to do the job but before you try to remove the filter, depressurize the fuel system. You can do this by removing the fuel pump relay in the box (relay #2 second from bottom on right) under the hood on the drivers side, and then start the engine to relieve the pressure from the fuel system. It wont' run for long. I didn't do this and I got a bath. Live and learn I guess.
