Need new negative cable for Excursion. Obsolete

It has been obsolete for years but I am looking to replace the negative cable on the passenger side. I really would rather refurbish my chewed up ends rather than to get a junkyard one but my first preference is to buy a new one. Anyone know where one can be had or is substitution ok with say one from a Powerstroke 7.3 truck?

TIA

I just replaced both of mine a couple of months ago with new ones. Not sure why you can't find them. I think I bought them from RockAuto. I get most all of my parts from them nowadays.

F81Z-14301DA & F81Z14301CA

Did both cables fit? Reason I asked is that the DA part supposedly goes to an F350 or F250. Parts guy at Ford wasn't sure if it would work for the Excursion.

I make my own cables all the time. Super easy and BETTER than what you can buy.

Fittings and cables 2/0

And make sure you get this tool, it works incredibly.

You will never have to worry about a cable again once you go this route.

Feb of 2016, I ordered 2 of the avail NEG cables for my 7.3, and used them both left and right, I made the body ground wire separate, which was part of the original pass cable assy.. I think it was the drivers side that was avail, I just tucked the extra slack, which wasn't much to the side of the pass battery. Just a thought.

What size terminal ends did you buy for battery and block? I noticed there were a lot of size options to choose from.

I have the military style battery terminals, like above,
Amazon Amazon
that uses 3/8 terminal ends for the wire . On the block I used 1/2" Yours may vary.

By far this is the best you can use for battery cables.

You can't get 2 negative cables for the Excursion today. I think you mean you got 2 negative cables for the 7.3 that were meant for the F250 or am I reading you wrong?

I usually order per application for my year, Ect.
My receipt from 03-02-2016 shows I ordered 1 of 1C3Z-14300-CA which is the complete poz cable assy.
And 2 of F81Z-14301-DA which is the left part number
The shorter right one was discontinued when I bought these.

Those cables are still showing avail on the OEMford parts site, and are shown as the correct parts for my VIN.
Hope that helps out.
