You need the codes from the parking assist module. It is mounted inside the little door in the back where the jack is. It is literally mounted just inside the tail lamp on the opposite side of the sheet metal.
I'll post troubleshooting procedures for our '01s when I get home in a couple of hours until you can get the codes.

Gotta have a good computer, or one of the two suggested in the first page where it lists the tools needed. I happen to have the NGS tester.
The pinpoint testing procedures have some component testing in them (like the dash switch) that only require a DMM. Let me know what you need, and I will post them up tonight when I get home.
