First off, I would like to say how great this site is. Been on the site for about 3 months now and you guys are some real knowledgeable folks.
Ive had my 2017 F250 SRW CCSB 6.2l for about 4 months now and I love this thing. Coming from a 2017 Silverado; Its a night and day difference. The F250 feels so much more stable and better built than the silverado. Awesome trucks.
So for the problem. I recently noticed my back seat (drivers side) has been "sticking" and binding a little bit recently. So i started looking around the assembly and I noticed that it looks like there is a ball joint and a compression piston that just looks like its free floating. I feel like they should be connected but i can't find any pics online of them or what they should look like.
Im posting some pics so hopefully someone knows what it is and if i can find them online to get some replacement parts.
You're missing the socket part of the ball and socket connection. You can see where the shaft has been digging into the plastic in the back.
I'd take it to the dealer, too.
Looked all over that truck. I couldn’t find the original piece or what it looked like to begin with. I was totally lost. Good part about this whole thing is that this is the only problem I’ve had with the truck. Backseat still works too. Luckily I don’t use it too often
