Nice work shortening the bed. Panel clamps are very handy for stitching together body panels and floor pans.

This is a set of (20) panel clamps I had made.

I'd be lying (along with a bunch of others here, I'm sure) if I said I didn't cringe just a little bit to see that GM mill in there. But, your results are top-notch. That's one sweet truck you have there! The stance/appearance, driveability, and the obvious power of the 6-liter are all outstanding! Based on what I see here, you obviously have the know-how and resources that result in professional level work. I'll definitely be following this thread!

I have one out-of-the-way question. What kind of rim is that on the left rear in the walk-around video, before the new rims and tires were installed?

Crown Vic suspension

im about to remove the stock suspension from my 68 mercury m100.
i have a string with a weight at each end laying across the front tires and hanging down the middle of the Center cap of each front wheel.
is this how to find wheel centres?
i measured from the string back to the cab mount and I’m out 1/8 of a inch.
Same thing measuring from the rad support mount back the string.
is there one point to measure from?
im not going to remove anything else till I get wheel centres marked.
im in Lethbridge doing this build at home.
I work 14 x14 in Fort mac
Would like to have a look at your project some time.

Used a string to find center of the front axle and drilled an 1/8 hole in the top of the frame on the line. Used said hole for all measurements. When I put it on the alignment rack the thrust angle was 00.01! Basically perfect, new vehicles are out way way more. Send me a message sometime and you can come check out the truck, have a beer and talk hot rods. I'm out just past the airport.

Got the frame back together. Lots of measuring, welding, measuring again. Plated the inside and boxed the frame about 12”. Only got a couple pictures of the out side.

Would you mind posting the part numbers for the steering parts?
Also, did you modify the in cab tank for the fuel injection?

Sorry, I looked to see if I still had the steering part #'s, but I don't. I remember I got the info from the Crown Vic Swap Facebook page. Yes, I modified the stock tank by using 2 bulkhead fittings for -6 pushlock line.

Gotcha, thanks. Did you install an external fuel pump and not an internal one?

Yes, external. I used an AEM 380. Mounted to the frame under the cab. It's a bit loud. Moving to a mustang tank in the rear soon. I'll run it internal then.

Those are handy but a real pain to get the square peg in the square hole in a tight spot. I plan to make my own with a round peg and hole for the tight places. Clecos are cheap and handy too.

Great thread! This is the exact project I am hoping to do some day. It's nice to see some of these projects happening north of the border! I'm having a tough time finding an f100 in as nice of shape as yours in Canada. They all seem to be rusted out farm trucks over here in SK.

Mine came out of Medicine Hat. Looked a long time to find such a solid truck. I grew up on a farm in SK, I almost cry thinking about how we treated these old fords back then!
