I resently put a 4" suspension lift on my 99 Crew. The steering stabilizer bar was a nightmare to get back in I had to use a come along to get it to fit back into the new bracket. Since then it has been very hard to turn when manuevering in a parking lot. Now when I turn hard like into a parking spot I hear a high squeak when turning.
Any input would be appreciated
I think you're talking about the track bar. An easier way of getting them to line up is to put the tires back on and drop the truck on the ground and fire it up and turn the wheels back and forth till it lines up.
The increased steering effort is probably a combination of the higher steering angle and the wider tires (I hope you put on). The high pitched squeal I'm not too sure about. Could be the ball joints?? Have someone else get in it and turn the wheels and try to isolate the noise a little better.
