I thought both trucks were rated for 10,000 pound "Tow" limit

When I worked at mastercraft boat company, we sent boats out all over North America. Every single one used the bow eye and stern eyes. Not one was ever sent out with a ratchet strap across it. I have no idea what law you are talking about.

OK good, it isn't just me wondering what this is about. Everyone I know hauls a car on the trailer the same way, chain to the frame on back, ratchet strap to the frame on front. No strap across the body.
