There was another thread about two other brands that this got brought up in. I figured I'd make its own post so that others can view it and find it via search easier.
I purchased this tonneau from tonneau factory outlet. Got a killer deal on it.
I installed the tonneau myself with the help of my wife. The install was very simple. I take my time on things when I'm working on my own stuff so I'm sure it took me way longer than it could take but I like using a million zip ties to secure wires and what not. I believe it took us around 2 hours from the time I opened the box to the time I was done putting stuff away.
I have only had the tonneau for a week and have opened and closed it several times without any issue, nothing extensive of course. It snowed on us somewhere in-between 8-12 inches the day after I installed it. It held the snow very well and the bed stayed very dry in comparison to other tonneau covers I have had in the past.
Overall I couldn't be happier with the cover and I would strongly recommend anyone looking for an electric tonneau for the long beds to check it out. It is the only electric long bed tonneau for the new Ford's as of today. There are a few companies who make manual ones but if you prefer/want/desire the electric then I doubt anyone would be unsatisfied with this cover.
Heres a pic and a short video I uploaded to youtube to show the cover opening and closing.
yes you can, these are the best if you can afford them and dont mind the minor loss of space for the forward area where the coiled top sits. I wanted one but decided it wasnt in the budget. had one on my 2010 and it was a huge benefit.
Is the canister about the same size as a non-powered retractable unit? Reason I ask is I'd like to get an "L" shaped auxiliary diesel tank under the cover.
Had a Bedlocker on my ‘11 F250 CCSB. Took it off and sold it before trading for my ‘15 F350 DRW CCLB. Then I put one on the ‘15, and when I traded the ‘15, I had the dealed swap it over to the new ‘16 on his dime!! Yeah, I know, the cost was likely hidden somewhere, but I feel good putting it this way!!
To put it another way.......I love mine!! When pulling the 5er or the gooseneck, I can put things way up front in the bed of the truck; then run the cover part way back and keep my stuff out of sight.......just for what it is worth!!!

My brother in law has a manual one, and the cannister looks about the same; but I don’t know for sure......haven’t measured them.....wasn’t curious enough!!!
But cheaper than an ARE shell. I'm having a hard time deciding to go with this or the shell. Both have their pros and cons.
I haven't found any Cons for this shell yet. I haven't had it much time though :-)

As far as I know the canister is the same size on both units. I am going to be mounting and L shaped aux tank under the cover at the front as well from Atta and their measurements work with it.
I am planning on getting a Pace Edwards retractable as well. I am likely getting the manual one simply due to cost.
I do have a question... the unit I am thinking about comes as the Ultragroove (which is made with aluminum and vinyl) and the Ultragroove Metal (which is made with just aluminum). Is it worth the extra $300 or so to have the "metal" version? I appears to me that the aluminum/vinyl one is almost as secured since it had aluminum slats.

I don't have any experience with the vinyl covers. My only concern with it would be putting anything inside the tonneau that you dont want accessed and if you park outside. Weather would distress the vinyl easily over time.

Did this one for a customer, custom built L tank to our drawing to work with the bed covers. We have done it for the Pace-Edwards Bedlocker & Retrax Electric, fit and works flawless.
